On new years eve of 2016, my boyfriend and I spent an amazing time in the United Arabic Emirates – to be more specific: in Dubai. We stayed in a really cool hotel, called “Jumeirah Creekside” and had a room with a view to the highest building in the world, the “Burj Khalifa”.
I will never forget the extraordinary sights we’ve seen, the tasty food we’ve eaten and all the exciting trips we’ve made, but one day was more special to me, than the other ones, in fact when we enjoyed an amazing brunch at the worlds famous 7* hotel “Burj Al Arab”.
The trip to Dubai was a present for my boyfriend – but I couldn’t let him go there on his own, could I?! So, we pack our bags into a dreamy experience. When we arrived at the hotel, we first noticed about 6 parked Rolls Royce’s and a helicopter, that just landed on the helicopter landing pad. Immediately we were stroke by the expensive lifestyle of Dubai. What it was an incredible moment for us, for the locals is all seems like nothing special, just another normal morning at “Burj Al Arab”.
Walking the elevator we spotted walls made out of gold. The elevator took as to to the highest floor of the hotel where the brunch would take place. When we arrived at the top of the building, my boyfriend and I were led to our table, which was in the first row with an unbelievable view over the ocean. It looked like a painting, because you couldn’t identify where the deep blue sea ends and the cloudless sky starts.
After the waiter brought us Champagne, we went around through the wonderful looking and tasty buffet. It was a huge and marvelous variety of food that we couldn’t decide where to start. I really cannot compare that buffet with any food I’ve had in my life. My personal highlight was the lobster. That was my first time eating this seafood delicatessen and it's just what I was hoping to be.
The cherry on the top was our beautiful view which we could enjoy throughout our whole brunch.
As I said at the beginning – I have got countless great memories of Dubai – but this was just the greatest one. Please promise me, if you ever travel to Dubai – you have to attend this brunch! You won’t regret it.
